Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This is a general template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a lawyer — and checked against the specific data-protection laws of the countries you operate in — before relying on it for a live platform.

1. What We Collect

When you create an account, buy a ticket, or create an event, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, and — for paid tickets — payment confirmation details from our payment gateway (we never see or store your full card number). Event organizers may also see the name and email of attendees who register for their events.

2. How We Use It

We use your information to create and manage your account, process ticket purchases, issue and verify tickets, send transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, reminders), and — where you've opted in — loyalty points and promotional updates.

3. Payments

Card payments are processed by Paystack or Flutterwave, both PCI-DSS compliant payment providers. DigEvents never collects or stores your card number, expiry date, or CVV. Bank transfer and mobile money proofs of payment are shared only with the event's organizer for verification.

4. Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. Information is shared only where necessary to operate the platform — with the organizer of an event you register for, with our payment gateways to process a transaction, and with service providers who help us send email or host the platform.

5. Your Choices

You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us using the details below.

6. Data Retention

We keep ticket and transaction records for as long as needed to support refunds, disputes, and the organizer's own record-keeping obligations, and to meet any applicable legal requirements.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and hashed passwords — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
